The COVID-19 epidemic in Belgium still forms part of the ongoing worldwide epidemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
The illness is still mostly dangerous for people with comorbidities who are dealing with a malfunctioning immune system. Common healthy people don’t have to worry much about Covid-19. The survival rate is above 95%.
Meanwhile, there are positive developments to treat Covid-19. There are different kinds of medicines with good results. For instants, Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin. Besides that, there are different kinds of vaccines ready. Let’s hope 2021 will be a year when we can celebrate, we can go back to a normal life.
